Ngokutsho kukaLuka 22:24, “kwavela nempikiswano eshushu phakathi kwabo mayela nokuba nguwuphi na kubo obonakala engoyena mkhulu.” Abapostile bakaYesu babengaqali ukuba nempikiswano elolo hlobo. Ubuncinane izihlandlo ezibini, uYesu kwafuneka elungise indlela abacinga ngayo.

Hayi indlela ekulusizi ngayo ukuba ngobu busuku bunzima, uYesu kwanyanzeleka ukuba abakhumbuze ukuba umlungiseleli ongumKristu ufanele abe njani kanye kanye. Wathi: “Lowo ungoyena mkhulu phakathi kwenu makabe njengoyena mncinane, nalowo usebenza njengentloko abe njengalowo ulungiselelayo.”—Luka 22:26.

Kunokuba banike abantu ukhokelo nolwalathiso lokomoya, aba balungiseleli bobuxoki bamisela izithethe ezingqongqo nemithetho ‘ebuvalayo ubukumkani bamazulu phambi kwabantu.’ Babethanda izikhundla, befuna amawonga, bengabantu abazingcayo abenza imisebenzi yabo “ukuze babonwe ngabantu.”—Mateyu 23:4, 5, 13.

Uhlobo Olutsha Lomlungiseleli

Noko ke, uYesu wachazela abafundi bakhe ngohlobo olutsha lobulungiseleli bokomoya. Wabafundisa oku: “Nina, ningabizwa kuthiwe Rabhi, kuba mnye umfundisi wenu, kanti nonke nina ningabazalwana. Ngaphezu koko, ningabizi nabani na ngokuthi nguyihlo emhlabeni, kuba mnye uYihlo, Lowo wasezulwini. . . . Kodwa lowo ungoyena mkhulu phakathi kwenu makabe ngumlungiseleli wenu.” (Mateyu 23:8-11) Abafundi bakaYesu babengamele balinganise iinkokeli zonqulo zomhla wabo. Ukuba babefuna ukuba ngabalungiseleli bokwenene, kwakufuneka balinganise uYesu. Wabashiyela luhlobo luni lomzekelo?

IBhayibhile idla ngokusebenzisa igama lesiGrike udi·aʹko·nos elithetha “umlungiseleli.” IThe Encyclopedia of Religion ithi eli gama “alithethi isikhundla kodwa ulwalamano lomlungiseleli lokukhonza lowo amkhonzayo: elandela umzekelo kaKristu . . . ngokusekelwe kwindlela amaKristu abuqonda ngayo ubulungiseleli.”

Ngokuvisisana nengcaciso echanileyo yegama elithi “umlungiseleli,” uYesu wazincama ukuze ancede abanye. Ngomonde wathi: “UNyana womntu weza, kungekhona ukuze alungiselelwe, kodwa ukuze alungiselele nokuze anikele ngomphefumlo wakhe ube yintlawulelo ngenxa yabaninzi.” (Mateyu 20:28) Ngaphandle kokuzingca uYesu wasebenzisa lonke ixesha, namandla akhe ukuze ancede abanye ngokwenyama nangokomoya. Kwakutheni? Ngenxa yokuba wasikwa yimfesane zizihlwele ezazixhatshazwa ngokomoya ezazithontelana ukuze zimbone. Wayefuna ukuzinceda. Ubulungiseleli bakhe babuqhutywa luthando nesisa, yaye wayefuna abafundi bakhe babonise umoya wokupha onjalo.—Mateyu 9:36.

Ngalo lonke ixesha lokuphila kwakhe, uYesu wabamisela umzekelo abalungiseleli ababeza kulandela. Wathi: “Isivuno sikhulu, kodwa abasebenzi bambalwa. Ngoko ke, bongozani iNkosi yesivuno ukuba ikhuphe abasebenzi baye esivunweni sayo.” (Mateyu 9:37, 38) Ewe, abalungiseleli bakaKristu kwakufuneka babe nenxaxheba kowona msebenzi mkhulu kweyakha yenziwa ehlabathini—ukunikela intuthuzelo yokomoya kulo lonke uluntu ngokushumayela nokufundisa ngeendaba ezilungileyo zoBukumkani bukaThixo.—Mateyu 28:19, 20.

Ukugxininisa ekupheni nasekukhonzeni iimfuno zabanye kwenza indlela uKristu abujonga ngayo ubulungiseleli ikhetheke. Wafundisa abalungiseleli bakhe ukuba babe ngabasebenzi, abalobi bokomoya nabalusi kungekhona ukuba banqule ngokufihlakeleyo, babe zizifundiswa ezinxiba ngendlela ekhethekileyo.—Mateyu 4:19; 23:5; Yohane 21:15-17.

Imbono YeBhayibhile

Okulusizi kukuba, le ngcamango ibalaseleyo neyokuzincama yokuba abalungiseleli bafanele babe ngabashumayeli nabafundisi abazincamayo yagqwethwa. Oku kwabangela ukwahlukana. Kwaveliswa udidi lwabefundisi olwalumisela imigaqo yecawa luze lululeke abanxaxhayo. UbuKristu benkulungwane yokuqala batshintsha kwiinkulungwane ezalandelayo busuka ekubeni lunqulo olufanelekileyo apho wonke umntu wayengumlungiseleli ukusa ekubeni lolwahluke kwaphela apho kuphela yayiligcudwana labaqeqeshwe kakuhle nabanemvume yokushumayela nokufundisa.

Noko ke, iBhayibhile ayichazi umlungiseleli ongumKristu ngesambatho esikhethekileyo, isithethe esithile, umvuzo, okanye ukumiselwa ngurhulumente, kodwa ngokusebenza ngokungazingci. Umpostile uPawulos wachaza isimo sengqondo abalungiseleli abangamaKristu abafanele babe naso. Wabakhuthaza ukuba ‘bangenzi nanye into ngokuzigwagwisa, kodwa ngokuthobeka kwengqondo.’—Filipi 2:3.

Ngokuqinisekileyo uPawulos wayengathethi aze angenzi. Ewulandela ngokusondeleyo umzekelo kaKristu, akazange afune ‘ingenelo yakhe kodwa eyabona baninzi ukuze basindiswe.’ Wayeyiqonda yaye eyazi kakuhle imbopheleleko yakhe ‘yokuvakalisa iindaba ezilungileyo ngaphandle kweendleko,’ kuba wathi, ‘ukuze ndingalisebenzisi kakubi igunya lam kwiindaba ezilungileyo.’ Wayengafuni “kuzukiswa ngabantu.”—1 Korinte 9:16-18; 10:33; 1 Tesalonika 2:6.

Onjani wona ukubalasela umzekelo womlungiseleli wokwenyaniso ongumKristu! Abo balinganisa umzekelo wakhe obalaseleyo baze balinganise umzekelo wokuzincama owamiselwa nguYesu Kristu, bezinikela ngokukhululekileyo ukuze banikele uncedo lokomoya nentuthuzelo yeendaba ezilungileyo kwabanye, bazibonakalisa bengabalungiseleli bokwenyaniso bakaThixo.—1 Petros 2:21.
