1. Le ɓe maa nɛ̃ɛi ku gɛ a gɛɛ ku ɓalo Ziova ŋɔɣelei a pa?

 WHEN the Bible talk about “Jehovah day,” it mean the time Jehovah will destroy the bad-bad people and save his people. Way back, Jehovah use to punish some country them. (Isa. 13:​1, 6; Ezek. 13:5; Zeph. 1:8) In our time, Jehovah day will start when the government them destroy all false religion and it will end with the war of Armageddon. For us to survive that “day,” we must prepare now-now. Jesus say we must get ready for the “great tribulation”. But that not all, he also say we must continue to be ready for it.​—Matt. 24:21; Luke 12:40.

2. Le mɛni ɓe kwa pɔri mɛni lɛlɛɛ sɔlɔ ɓoi la 1 Tɛsɛloniɛŋ­ sui?

² In the first letter that the apostle Paul write to the Christian them in Thessalonica, he use different-different examples to help them to always be ready for Jehovah day. Paul knew that Jehovah day was not coming right away. (2 Thess. 2:​1-3) But still, he encourage his brother them to prepare for that day just like to say it was coming tomorrow. We too can do what Paul say. Yor let talk more about what Paul say about this thing them here: (1) how Jehovah day will come, (2) who them will not survive that day, and (3) how we can prepare to survive.

3. Ziova ŋɔɣelei a pai pai leŋ a kpini yɛɛ ŋuma-­nuu? (Ya pɔri ŋɔnɔ votooi kaai.)

³ “Just like rogue that can come in the night.” (1 Thess. 5:2) Among the three example them the apostle Paul use  to describe Jehovah day, that the first one here. Most of time, the rogue them can come way in the night when people not expecting it. That the same way Jehovah day will come and plenty people will not be expecting it. If you not take time, even true Christians will be surprise at the way things will happen quick-quick. But the wicked people will be destroy and true Christians will survive.

4. Pere sii kɛɛ leŋ ɓe Ziova ŋɔɣelei kaa la yɛɛ ­koi-tee a pɛlɛ nɛni ma?

⁴ “Just like the pain big belly can feel when she go deliver.” (1 Thess. 5:3) The big belly can’t know the main time pain will catch her to go deliver. But she know that one day the pain will start. And that pain will start the time she not expecting it. It will hurt her bad way and it will not stop until she deliver. That the same way, we not know the day and hour Jehovah day will come. But we sure that day will come. The wicked people will not be expecting it and all of them will be destroy.

5. Pere sii kɛɛ leŋ ɓe mɛni-kpɔlu kɛtɛi kaa la yɛɛ ɣele ɓoɔɔ?

⁵ Just like day coming break. In the third example, Paul talk again about rogue stealing in the night. But in this one, Paul say that Jehovah day looking just like when day coming break. (1 Thess. 5:4) The rogue them who can come in the night can be busy stealing until day break on them. The day light can catch them and expose them the time they can’t be expecting it. That the same way the great tribulation will expose people who continue to do things that Jehovah hate. We can be ready by not following their example to do things that Jehovah hate, but by always doing thing them that good in His eyes. (Eph. 5:​8-12) Paul use two examples that looking  the same, to talk about people that will not survive.

6. Pere sii kɛɛ leŋ ɓe nua tamaa da nyii lai? (1 Tɛsɛloniɛŋ 5:​6, 7)

⁶ “The people them that sleeping.” (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:​6, 7.) Paul say people who will not survive Jehovah day looking just like people who sleeping. They not know what happening around them and the way time going. So, they can’t know when something important happening or they can’t do anything about it. Plenty people today looking just like they sleeping. (Rom. 11:8) They not believe the thing them that show that we living in “the last days” and that the great tribulation will soon come. When some big thing them start happening in the world, some people can start showing interest in our Kingdom message. But plenty people can still go back to sleep instead of keeping on the watch. Even some people who believe in judgment day can be thinking that it still far off. (2 Pet. 3:​3, 4) But everyday, it getting more important for us to keep on the watch.

7. Pere sii kɛɛ leŋ ɓe ŋwana-lɔɔ-ɓelai dikaa la yɛɛ lɔɔ-ya kpele-ɓela?

⁷ “People who can get drunk.” The apostle Paul say the people them who God will destroy looking just like drunk people. When people get drunk, they can’t know what happening around them and they can’t make good decision. That the same way the wicked people can’t listen to God when he warn them. The way they living their life will make God to destroy them. But the Bible say Christians must think the right way. (1 Thess. 5:6) One book man say, “the person who can think the right way, can’t be too scary. He can think the right way and make good decision them.” Why we must think the right way and not be too scary? Because it will help us to not put our hand in politics or other thing them that happening around us. When Jehovah day getting closer, it will be hard for us to remain neutral. Still, we must not worry about what we will do. God spirit can help us to think the right way, to not be too scary and to make good decisions.​—Luke 12:​11, 12.

8. Le ɓe 1 Tɛsɛloniɛŋ 5:8 e mo e pilaŋ dua-pere lɛlɛ-ŋai dia nyii pai kpɔnii kua a gɛɛ kukɛ a kukpɛtɛɛ? (Ya pɔri ŋɔnɔ votooi kaai.)

⁸ “Wear the breastplate . . . and the . . . helmet.” Paul say we looking just like soldier people who keeping on the watch and ready to fight war. (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:8.) People can expect soldier people to be ready to fight war any time it start. That the same way with us. We must always be ready for Jehovah day by wearing the breastplate of faith and love and the helmet of hope. This quality them will really help us.

9. Kulaa-lai a kumaa-kɔ̃ɔ leŋ?

⁹ The breastplate use to protect the soldier people heart. Faith and love can protect us. They will help us to continue serving God and following Jesus. Faith can convince us that Jehovah will bless us for serving him with our whole heart. (Heb. 11:6) It will make us to remain loyal to our Leader, Jesus, even when we going through hard time. We can make our faith strong to bear the hard time we going through by looking at the example of our faithful brother them today. They na remain faithful even though they going  through persecution and catching hard time. And we can avoid the temptation to like money and material things business too much by following the example of our brother them who make their life simple and put Kingdom interests first. b

10. Pere sii kɛɛ leŋ ɓe wɛli-kɛ-maa Ɣala da kukɔlɛ-ma-ɓelai mɛni ma a kpɔŋ la kua a gɛɛ ku tɔɔ a gbanaŋɔɔ?

¹⁰ Another important thing that will help us to keep on the watch and think the right way, that love. (Matt. 22:​37-39) Love for God can help us to continue preaching even if it will put us in trouble. (2 Tim. 1:​7, 8) Because we love people, we will continue preaching in our territory, even if it mean for us to use phone or write letter. We will not give up because we know that one day people will change and start doing the right thing.​—Ezek. 18:​27, 28.

11. Pere sii kɛɛ leŋ ɓe wɛli-kɛ-maa kuɓaraŋ korai-ɓela mɛni ma a kpɔŋ la kua? (1 Tɛsɛloniɛŋ 5:​11)

¹¹ We also love our brother and sister them. We can show that love by “encouraging one another and building one another up.” (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:11.) The same way soldier people can help each other when they working together, that the same way we can encourage each other. That true sometime, soldier people can hurt their friend them who fighting with them, but they can’t mean it. That the same way, we will not mean it to hurt our brother and sister them or pay debt when they do bad to us. (1 Thess. 5:​13, 15) We can also show love by showing respect to the brother them that taking the lead in the congregation. (1 Thess. 5:12) The time Paul write this letter, the congregation in Thessalonica not reach one year yet. Maybe the elder them in that congregation was not experience and they use to make some mistake them. Still, the brother them suppose to respect them. The way the great tribulation coming, maybe we will depend on the elder them for direction more than now-now. Maybe we will not be  able to get direction from the world headquarters and the branch office. So it important for us to learn to love and respect our elder them now-now. No matter what happen, we must think the right way. We must not focus on their mistake them, but we must focus on the way Jehovah using them to take care of us.

12. Kukili-kɛ-zui a kukili-ŋa-siai maa-kɔ̃ɔ leŋ?

¹² Just how helmet can protect soldier man head, that the same way our hope can protect our thinking. Because we get strong hope, we know that the thing them the world promise not get any benefit. (Phil. 3:8) Our hope can help us to not worry too much. That just what happen to Wallace and Laurinda, who serving in Africa. In three weeks time, one of them ma die and the other person pa die. Because of the COVID-19, they were not able to go back to be with their family them. Wallace say: “The resurrection hope can help me to think about them, not the way they were looking right before they die, but the way they will be looking in the new world. When I feeling bad, this hope can help my heart to lay down.”

13. Le ɓe kwa pɔri gɛi a gɛɛ ku mɔleŋ maa waai sɔlɔ ɓo?

¹³ “Don’t cut off the fire of the spirit.” (1 Thess. 5:19) Paul say the holy spirit looking just like fire inside us. When we having Jehovah spirit, we can be having zeal to do the right thing and to work for Jehovah. (Rom. 12:11) Wetin we can do to get holy spirit? We can pray for it, study the Bible, and worship Jehovah with our brother and sister them. When we do it, it will help us to get “the fruitage of the spirit.”​—Gal. 5:​22, 23.

14. Le ɓe maa fe nɛ̃ɛ ni ku gɛ a gɛɛ ku kanaŋ mɔleŋ maa waai sɔlɔ ɓoi? (Ya pɔri ŋɔnɔ votooi kaai.)

¹⁴ When Jehovah God give us his holy spirit, we must be careful to not cut off the fire of the spirit. God can give holy spirit to people who can keep their thinking clean and do good-good thing them. He will not continue to give us his spirit if we keep thinking on bad things and doing them.  (1 Thess. 4:​7, 8) Also, for us to continue to get God holy spirit, we must “not treat prophecies with contempt.” (1 Thess. 5:20) In this verse “prophecies” mean the message God can give us through the holy spirit. For example, the Bible prophesy about Jehovah day and how the world will soon end. We will not be thinking that Jehovah day will not happen in our lifetime. Instead, we will show that we expecting it to come soon by keeping ourselves busy with “deeds of godly devotion” and obeying Jehovah law them every day.​—2 Pet. 3:​11, 12.

15. Kwa pɔri kukpiŋ maa-kɔ̃ɔi leŋ lɛɛ mɛni-ŋa yeei? (1 Tɛsɛloniɛŋ 5:​21)

¹⁵ In the future, people who against God will make the announcement about “peace and security!” (1 Thess. 5:3) The demons will use people to spread lie-lie information all over the earth to fool plenty people. (Rev. 16:​13, 14) How about us? Nobody will fool us if we “make sure of [or, “test”] all things.” (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:21; see study notes.) This word them “make sure of” coming from one Greek word. They use it to describe the way people use to test thing them like gold and silver to make sure they were real. So, we need to test the thing them we hear or read to make sure whether they true. It was important for the Christian them in Thessalonica to do this one. When we getting close to the great tribulation, it will even be more important for us. Instead of believing everything other people say, we must compare what we read or hear with what the Bible and Jehovah organization say. When we do this one, nobody will fool us with any lie-lie information.​—Prov. 14:15; 1 Tim. 4:1.

16. Kili-kɛ-zu kɛɛ leŋ ɓe kuyeei, nyaŋ le ɓe a kulii kula a gɛɛ ku gɛ?

¹⁶ We know that Jehovah people will survive during the great tribulation. But each of us not know how tomorrow will be looking like. (Jas. 4:14) Still, whether we survive the great tribulation or die before it come, we will get everlasting life if we remain faithful. The anointed them will be with Jesus Christ in heaven. The other sheep will live in paradise on earth. So all of us must fight hard to focus on our wonderful hope and continue to be ready for Jehovah day!
