MINISTERIAL servants can do important work in the congregations. The apostle Paul show that he wor grateful for this faithful men dem. For example, when he wor writing to the Christians in Philippi, he also send his greetings to ministerial servants and elders.—Phil. 1:1.

2. Ɓɔlɔ tɔnɔ nyii naa ɓa Luis ŋɔkili-ŋa-siai e kɛ leŋ e pilaŋ ŋɔtii ma a korai-toli-kpɔŋ laa-tuɛ-ɓelai dikpɔŋ maa-nuu?

2 Plenty baptize brothers whether young or old, can be happy to be ministerial servants. For example, Devan wor 18 years old when they appoint him as ministerial servant. But they appoint one brother name Luis when he wor around 50 years old. How he wor feeling when they appoint him? He say, “I so happy to work for my brothers and sisters, especially when I think about all the love they na show me!”

3. Mare-kɛɛ-ŋa kɛɛ leŋ ɓe kwa pai zukulai kaai?

4. Tii-ŋa kɛɛ leŋ ɓe korai-toli-kpɔŋ laa-tuɛ-ɓelai dikpɔŋ maa-ɓela da gɛi? (Ya pɔri ŋɔnɔ votooi kaai.)

4 Ministerial servant that baptize brother who holy spirit can appoint to help the elder dem to do some small-small work in the congregation. For example, some ministerial servants can make sure that we get territory to preach and publications for field service. Some of them can help to clean and take care of the Kingdom Hall. Some of them can also be attendants and take care of the sound system to the Kingdom Hall. Plenty of the work ministerial servants can do that physical work. But the most important one, ministerial servants that men dem who really love Jehovah and trying their best to live by his laws. And they get deep love for their brothers and sisters. (Matt. 22:37-39) Wetin baptize brothers can do to be ministerial servant?

Ministerial servants can follow Jesus example by helping other people (See paragraph 4)

5. Le ɓe maa nɛ̃ɛi ɓɔlɔ e gɛ a kɛ ŋwɛlii e kɛ a korai-toli-kpɔŋ laa-tuɛ-ɓelai dikpɔŋ maa-nuu?

5 The Bible tell us what brothers can do to be ministerial servants. (1 Tim. 3:8-10, 12, 13) You can try to be ministerial servant by studying the Bible verse dem that talk about it and then working hard to do what it say. But first, it good to know the reason why you want be ministerial servant.

LE MƐNI ƁE YA ŊWƐLII IKƐ LA A KORAI-TOLI-KPƆŊ LAA-TUƐ-ƁƐLAI DIKPƆŊ MAA-NUU?

6. Le ɓe maa nɛ̃ɛi e ilii kula a gɛɛ I tii kelee ta kɛ I bɔlɔ da sisɛ-ŋai mɛni ma? (Maafiu 20:28; Ya pɔri ŋɔnɔ votooi kaai.)

6 Jesus Christ set good example for us. Everything he use to do show that he love his Father and he love people. That love make him to work hard and do other small-small work for people. (Read Matthew 20:28; John 13:5, 14, 15) If that love making you to want be ministerial servant, then Jehovah will bless you and help you to reach your goal.—1 Cor. 16:14; 1 Pet. 5:5.

Jesus teaching his apostle dem by example, on how to be humble and serve other people instead of trying to get big position (See paragraph 6)

7. Le mɛni ɓe maa fe nɛ̃ɛ ni la bɔlɔ ta e maa tɛ korai-toli-kpɔŋ su laa-maa tɛ mɛni mai?

7 People in the world today can really like other people who can make their self important. But Jehovah people not looking like that. Brother who get love for people just like Jesus, will not make his self important, be fighting for power, or try to rule over other people. If they appoint somebody who like power business to be ministerial servant or elder, he will not want do any kindna small work to take care of Jehovah people. He will feel that the work too local for him. (John 10:12) Jehovah will not bless their effort because they proud and they doing it for selfish reason.—1 Cor. 10:24, 33; 13:4, 5.

8. Lia-woo kɛɛ leŋ ɓe Zisɛ e dɛɛ zia-ɓelai pɔi?

8 Sometime, even Jesus apostles wanted to get certain privilege for the wrong reason. Let talk about two of Jesus apostles, James and John. They ask Jesus to make them big person in his Kingdom. Jesus not tell them thank you for it. But he tell all the 12 apostles say: “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your minister, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of all.” (Mark 10:35-37, 43, 44) When Brothers want be ministerial servant because they want serve other people, the congregation can benefit.—1 Thess. 2:8.

LE ƁA PƆRI KPƆNII YA A GƐƐ I KƐ ŊWƐLI I IMAA TƐI?

9. Ya pɔri gili-ŋa-siai a gɛɛ I imaa tɛ su kpanani leŋ?

9 We sure you love Jehovah and you want serve other people. But maybe you thinking that to be ministerial servant that plenty work. How you can get strong desire to serve other people? Think about the happiness that can come when you work for your brothers and sisters. Jesus say: “There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.” (Acts 20:35) He live by what he say. He wor really happy because he work for other people, and we can be happy too when we do the same thing.

10. Zisɛ e nɛ leŋ a gɛɛ nii e kɛ a nɛ̃ɛ a gɛɛ e tii kɛ nua diɛ? (Maki 6:31-34)

10 Let talk about one example that show how Jesus wor happy to serve other people. (Read Mark 6:31-34.) One time, he and his apostles wor really tire. So, they wor going to one quiet place to rest. But the group of people reach there before them, because they wanted for Jesus to teach them. Jesus wor having the right to say no because he and disciples wor not even having time to eat and rest. Or maybe Jesus wor coming tell them to go after he finish teaching them small thing from the Bible. But because he wor having love for them, he started teaching them plenty things.” And he continue teaching them until it get late. (Mark 6:35) He do it not because he wor force to but he wor feeling sorry for them. He wanted to teach them because he love them. Working for other people really use to make Jesus happy.

11. Zisɛ e kpɔŋ maa tɛɛ leŋ nua pɔ? (Ya pɔri ŋɔnɔ votooi kaai.)

11 When Jesus wor preaching to the people, he not only teach them but he also gave them what they need. He perform miracle to provide food and gave it to his disciples to divide it among the people. (Mark 6:41) He wor teaching his disciples how to serve other people. He also show them that it good to do this kindna small-small work dem for people. And that what ministerial servants can do. Just think how the apostles wor happy to work with Jesus in sharing the food until everybody eat and wor satisfy! (Mark 6:42) But, you think that the only time Jesus put other people first? No. He use his whole life on earth to help people. (Matt. 4:23; 8:16) Jesus really use to be happy to teach people and care for them. We sure that if you try to be ministerial servant because you love your brothers, you will be happy like Jesus.

That love for Jehovah and your desire to serve people will move you to do any work that you able to do for the congregation (See paragraph 11) a

12 If you feel that you not get any special talent, don’t be discourage. We sure that you get some qualities that you can use to help the congregation. You can benefit by reading what Paul say in 1 Corinthians 12:12-30 and ask Jehovah to help you apply it. The thing Paul say make it clear that all Jehovah servants get important part to play in the congregation. If you not qualify to be ministerial servant now-now, don’t feel bad. Do what you able to do to serve Jehovah and help your brother and sister dem. You can be sure that the elder dem will think about your situation and give you assignments that you able to do.—Rom. 12:4-8.

13. Le ɓe ku gɔlɔŋ e pilaŋ mɛni-ŋai dia nyii maa nɛ̃ɛi bɔlɔ-ŋa di gɛ a gɛɛ di kɛ a korai-toli-kpɔŋ laa-tuɛ-ɓelai dikpɔŋ maa-ɓela?

13 Yeh one more reason why you must try hard to be ministerial servant: Most of the thing that can qualify somebody to be ministerial servant, apply to all Christians. In fact, all Christians must draw close to Jehovah, get the happiness that can come from giving, and set good example in the way Christian can live. Wetin brothers can do to be ministerial servant?

17 “Tested as to fitness” mean that you na already show that they can trust you with work in the congregation. So, when the elder dem give you work to do, take your time to follow all the instructions the organization give to do that work. Make sure that you understand what you suppose to do and when you suppose to finish it. When you try your best to do your work good-good, the brothers and sisters will see it and they will be happy that you making progress. Elders must make sure to train baptize brothers. If so, give them assignments that they able to do depending on their age. Like that, it will show that this young brother dem can be “tested as to fitness.” Then by the time they reach 17-19 years, they can qualify to be ministerial servants.

When elders give baptize brother dem assignments, they will be testing them “as to fitness” (See paragraph 17)
