2 Bemi ndawonye eNtabeni Yeminqumo, abaphostoli babamba izwi nezwi uJesu alishoyo. Lapho eqeda—okubonakala kusheshile nokho—uphakamisa izandla ababusise. Ube eseqala ukwenyuka! Abalandeli bakhe bayamgqolozela njengoba enyukela esibhakabhakeni. Ekugcineni ifu liyamsitha angabe esabonakala. Usehambile, kodwa basalokhu begqolozele emazulwini.—Luka 24:50; IzE. 1:9, 10.

3 Lesi senzakalo siwushintsho oluphawulekayo ekuphileni kwabaphostoli bakaJesu. Sebezokwenzenjani-ke manje njengoba iNkosi yabo, uJesu Kristu, isinyukele ezulwini? Singaqiniseka ukuthi iNkosi yabo ibahlomisele ukuqhubeka nomsebenzi eyawuqala. Yabahlomisela kanjani lesi sabelo esibalulekile, futhi basabela kanjani? Athinteka kanjani amaKristu namuhla? Isahluko sokuqala sezEnzo sinezimpendulo ezikhuthazayo.

‘Ubufakazi Obuningi Obuqand’ ikhanda’ (IzEnzo 1:1-5)

4. ULuka ukuqala kanjani ukulandisa kwakhe okusencwadini yezEnzo?

4 ULuka uqala ukulandisa kwakhe ngokukhuluma noTheyofilu, umlisa ofanayo ayembhalele iVangeli. a Ekwenza kucace ukuthi uqhubeka nokulandisa kokuqala, uLuka uqala ngokufingqa izenzakalo ezisekugcineni kweVangeli lakhe, esebenzisa amagama ahlukile futhi esinika nemininingwane eyengeziwe.

5 Yini ezogcina ukholo lwabalandeli bakaJesu luqinile? Encwadini yezEnzo 1:3, siyafunda, uJesu: “Waziveza ephila kubo ngobufakazi obuningi obuqand’ ikhanda.” EBhayibhelini, nguLuka kuphela, “udokotela othandekayo,” osebenzisa amazwi athi ‘ubufakazi obuqand’ ikhanda.’ (Kol. 4:14) La mazwi ayesetshenziswa emibhalweni yezokwelapha futhi abonisa ubufakazi obuyiqiniso, obuwujuqu nobuthembekile. UJesu wanikeza ubufakazi obunjalo. Wabonakala kaningi kubalandeli bakhe, ngezinye izikhathi koyedwa noma kwababili, kokunye kubo bonke abaphostoli, ngesinye isikhathi emakholweni angaphezu kuka-500. (1 Kor. 15:3-6) Ubufakazi obuqand’ ikhanda isibili!

6 Ukholo lwamaKristu eqiniso namuhla nalo lusekelwe ‘ebufakazini obuningi obuqand’ ikhanda.’ Bukhona yini ubufakazi bokuthi uJesu waphila emhlabeni, wafela izono zethu futhi wavuswa? Impela! Ukulandisa okuthembekile kofakazi bokuzibonela okuseZwini likaNkulunkulu eliphefumulelwe kusinikeza bonke ubufakazi obugculisayo esibudingayo. Ukutadisha lokhu kulandisa ngomthandazo kungaluqinisa kakhulu ukholo lwethu. Khumbula, ubufakazi obuqinile bungenza umehluko phakathi kokholo lwangempela nolokuthatheka. Ukholo lwangempela luyadingeka ukuze sithole ukuphila okuphakade.—Joh. 3:16.

7. UJesu wababekela siphi isibonelo abalandeli bakhe ekufundiseni nasekushumayeleni?

7 UJesu ‘wakhuluma nangoMbuso kaNkulunkulu.’ Ngokwesibonelo, wachaza iziprofetho ezazibonisa ukuthi uMesiya kwakuzomelwe ahlupheke futhi afe. (Luka 24:13-32, 46, 47) Lapho uJesu ecacisa indima yakhe njengoMesiya, wagcizelela isihloko soMbuso kaNkulunkulu ngoba uyena owayeqokelwe ukuba iNkosi. UJesu wayehlale eshumayela ngoMbuso, futhi abalandeli bakhe namuhla banamathela esihlokweni esifanayo lapho beshumayela.—Math. 24:14; Luka 4:43.

“Nasezingxenyeni Ezikude Kakhulu Zomhlaba” (IzEnzo 1:6-12)

8, 9. (a) Yimiphi imibono emibili eyiphutha abaphostoli bakaJesu ababenayo? (b) UJesu wakulungisa kanjani ukucabanga kwabaphostoli, okuwafundisani amaKristu namuhla?

8 Ngesikhathi abaphostoli bebuthene eNtabeni Yeminqumo, baba nomhlangano wokugcina noJesu emhlabeni. Babuza ngesasasa: “Nkosi, ingabe uzowubuyisela umbuso ku-Israyeli ngalesi sikhathi?” (IzE. 1:6) Kulo mbuzo, abaphostoli bembula ukuthi babenemibono emibili eyiphutha. Owokuqala, babecabanga ukuthi uMbuso kaNkulunkulu uyobuyiselwa ku-Israyeli ongokwenyama. Owesibili, babelindele ukuba uMbuso othenjisiwe uqale ukubusa ‘ngaso leso sikhathi.’ UJesu wabasiza kanjani ukuba balungise ukucabanga kwabo?

9 Kumelwe ukuba uJesu wayazi ukuthi umbono wabo wokuqala wawuzolungiswa ngokushesha. Empeleni, abalandeli bakhe base bezobona ukuzalwa kwesizwe esisha, u-Israyeli ongokomoya, ngemva kwezinsuku eziyishumi! Ukusebenzelana kukaNkulunkulu no-Israyeli ongokwenyama kwase kuzophela. Ngokuqondene nombono wabo wesibili, uJesu wabakhumbuza ngomusa: “Akukhona okwenu ukwazi izikhathi noma izinkathi uBaba azishiyele kuye ngokwakhe.” (IzE. 1:7) UJehova unguMgcini-sikhathi Omkhulu. Ngaphambi kokuba uJesu afe, kwayena wathi ngisho neNdodana yayingalwazi ngaleso sikhathi ‘usuku nehora’ okwakuzofika ngalo ukuphela kodwa “nguBaba kuphela.” (Math. 24:36) Nanamuhla, uma amaKristu ezikhathaza ngokungafanele ngokubala ukuthi ukuphela kwalesi simiso sezinto kuyofika nini, empeleni asuke ezihlupha ngento okungeyona eyawo.

10. Yisiphi isimo sengqondo sabaphostoli okufanele sisihlakulele, futhi ngani?

10 Noma kunjalo, kufanele siqaphele singababukeli phansi abaphostoli bakaJesu ababengamadoda okholo oluqinile. Bakwamukela ngokuthobeka ukulungiswa. Ngaphezu kwalokho, yize umbuzo wabo wawubangelwa ukucabanga okuyiphutha, waveza nesimo esihle sengqondo. UJesu wayekade ebanxuse kaninginingi abalandeli bakhe: “Hlalani nilindile.” (Math. 24:42; 25:13; 26:41) Babeqaphile ngokomoya, bebubheke ngabomvu ubufakazi bokuthi uJehova wayesezothatha isinyathelo. Yilesi isimo sengqondo okudingeka sisihlakulele namuhla. Empeleni, lezi ‘zinsuku zokugcina’ zenza kuphuthume nakakhulu ukuba senze kanjalo.—2 Thim. 3:1-5.

11, 12. (a) Yisiphi isabelo uJesu asinika abalandeli bakhe? (b) Kungani kwakufaneleka ngoJesu ukuba akhulume ngomoya ongcwele lapho ekhuluma ngomyalo wokushumayela?

11 UJesu wakhumbuza abaphostoli lokho okwakufanele bakukhathalele ngokuyinhloko. Wathi: “Nizokwamukela amandla lapho umoya ongcwele ufika phezu kwenu, nizoba ofakazi bami eJerusalema, kulo lonke elaseJudiya naseSamariya, nasezingxenyeni ezikude kakhulu zomhlaba.” (IzE. 1:8) Izindaba zokuvuswa kukaJesu zaziyoshunyayelwa eJerusalema kuqala, lapho uJesu abulawelwa khona. Kusuka lapho, isigijimi sasiyofinyelela kulo lonke elaseJudiya, siye eSamariya nasezindaweni ezikude.

12 Kuyafaneleka ukuthi uJesu wakhuluma ngomyalo wokushumayela ngemva kokuvuselela isithembiso sokuthumela umoya ongcwele ukuba ubasize. Lesi esinye sezikhathi ezingaphezu kuka-40 encwadini yezEnzo okuvela kuzo inkulumo ethi “umoya ongcwele.” Ngokuphindaphindiwe le ncwadi yeBhayibheli ecacile ikwenza kukhanye ukuthi asinakuyifeza intando kaJehova ngaphandle kosizo lomoya ongcwele. Yeka ukuthi kubaluleke kangakanani-ke ukuba siwuthandazele njalo lo moya! (Luka 11:13) Manje siwudinga kunanini ngaphambili.

13. Mkhulu kangakanani umsebenzi wokushumayela onikezwe abantu bakaNkulunkulu namuhla, futhi kungani kufanele siwamukele ngenjabulo?

13 Incazelo yokuthi ‘izingxenye ezikude kakhulu zomhlaba’ iye yashintsha kusukela ngaleso sikhathi. Nokho, njengoba sibonile esahlukweni esandulele, oFakazi BakaJehova baye basamukela ngenhliziyo yonke lesi sabelo sokufakaza, bazi ukuthi uNkulunkulu ufuna zonke izinhlobo zabantu zizwe izindaba ezinhle zoMbuso wakhe. (1 Thim. 2:3, 4) Ingabe wena umatasa kulo msebenzi osindisa ukuphila? Awusoze wawuthola kwenye indawo umsebenzi ogculisa nowanelisa njengalo! UJehova uzokunika amandla owadingayo okuwenza. Incwadi yezEnzo izokutshela okuningi ngezindlela ezifanele esingazisebenzisa nesimo sengqondo okufanele sisihlakulele ukuze siphumelele.

14, 15. (a) Zathini izingelosi mayelana nokubuya kukaKristu, futhi zazisho ukuthini? (Bheka nombhalo waphansi.) (b) Ukubuya kukaKristu kwaba kanjani “ngendlela efanayo” naleyo ahamba ngayo?

14 Njengoba kubonisiwe ekuqaleni kwalesi sahluko, uJesu wenyuka emhlabeni wayesenyamalala. Kodwa abaphostoli abangu-11 baqhubeka bemile bebheke esibhakabhakeni. Ekugcineni, kwaqhamuka izingelosi ezimbili, zabasola ngamazwi athambile: “Madoda aseGalile, kungani nimile nibheke esibhakabhakeni? Lo Jesu okhushulelwe phezulu esibhakabhakeni esuka kini uyokuza ngendlela efanayo naleyo enimbone eya ngayo esibhakabhakeni.” (IzE. 1:11) Ingabe izingelosi zazisho ukuthi uJesu wayeyobuya ngomzimba ofanayo, njengoba kufundisa amanye amasonto? Cha, zazingasho lokho. Sazi kanjani?

15 Izingelosi zazithe uJesu uyobuya “ngendlela efanayo,” hhayi ngesimo esifanayo. b Wahamba ngayiphi indlela? Lapho izingelosi zikhuluma, wayengasabonakali. Yilawo madoda ambalwa kuphela, abaphostoli, aqonda ukuthi uJesu wayesehambile emhlabeni futhi esendleleni eya kuYise ezulwini. UKristu wayeyobuya ngendlela efanayo. Kwaba njalo. Namuhla, yilabo abanokuqonda okungokomoya kuphela abaqaphelayo ukuthi uJesu useyabusa njengenkosi. (Luka 17:20) Sidinga ukubuqonda ubufakazi bokuba khona kwakhe futhi sibudlulisele kwabanye ukuze nabo bakubone ukuphuthuma kwezikhathi zethu.

“Bonisa Ukuthi Iyiphi . . . Oyikhethile” (IzEnzo 1:13-26)

16-18. (a) Yini esiyifundayo ngemibuthano yobuKristu yokukhulekela encwadini yezEnzo 1:13, 14? (b) Yini esiyifundayo esibonelweni sikanina kaJesu, uMariya? (c) Kungani ibalulekile imihlangano yobuKristu namuhla?

16 Akungabazeki ukuthi abaphostoli “babuyela eJerusalema bejabula kakhulu.” (Luka 24:52) Kodwa babeyosabela kanjani esiqondisweni nasekuyaleni kukaKristu? Emavesini 13 no-14 ezEnzo isahluko 1, sibathola bebuthene “ekamelweni eliphezulu,” futhi sifunda imininingwane ethakazelisayo ngemibuthano enjalo. Ngaleso sikhathi, izindlu zasePalestina zazinekamelo eliphezulu okwakungenwa kulo ngezitebhisi ezingaphandle. Kungenzeka yini ukuthi leli ‘kamelo eliphezulu’ yilo leli elaliphezu kwendlu okukhulunywa ngayo encwadini yezEnzo 12:12, eyayingekanina kaMarku? Kunoma yikuphi, kwakuyikamelo elingadle ngabukhazikhazi, elisebenzisekayo, abalandeli bakaKristu ababengabuthanela kulo. Kodwa kwakubuthana obani, futhi benzeni?

17 Phawula ukuthi lo mbuthano kwakungewona owabaphostoli noma owamadoda wodwa. Kwakukhona “nabesifazane abathile,” kuhlanganise nonina kaJesu, uMariya. Lapha kukhulunywa ngaye okokugcina eBhayibhelini. Kuyafaneleka ukucabanga ngaye ekulo mbuthano, engafuni ukuvelela, kodwa ngokuthobeka ehlangene nabafowabo nodadewabo abangokomoya ngenjongo yokukhulekela. Kumelwe ukuba kwakumduduza ukuthi amadodana akhe amane, ayekade engewona amakholwa ngesikhathi uJesu esaphila, manje ayesekanye naye. (Math. 13:55; Joh. 7:5) Ngemva kokufa nokuvuswa komfowabo ngamzali munye, bashintsha.—1 Kor. 15:7.

18 Phawula futhi ukuthi kungani laba bafundi babehlangene: “Bonke laba babephikelela emthandazweni benomgomo ofanayo.” (IzE. 1:14) Ukuhlangana ndawonye bekulokhu kubalulekile ekukhulekeleni kwamaKristu. Siyabuthana ukuze sikhuthazane, sifundiswe, siyalwe, futhi ngaphezu kwakho konke, sikhulekele uBaba wethu uJehova. Imikhuleko yethu nezingoma zokudumisa lapho sihlangene ziyamjabulisa kakhulu, futhi zibalulekile kithina. Kwangathi singelokothe sikuyeke lokhu kubuthana okungcwele nokwakhayo!—Heb. 10:24, 25.

19-21. (a) Sifundani endimeni uPetru ayifeza ebandleni? (b) Kungani kwakudingeka kuvalwe isikhala sikaJuda, futhi yini esingayifunda endleleni okwasingathwa ngayo lokhu?

19 Labo balandeli bakaKristu manje base bebhekene nesidingo esibalulekile, futhi umphostoli uPetru wahola ekusingatheni lolu daba. (Amavesi 15-26) Akududuzi yini ukuphawula umzamo omuhle uPetru ayewenzile emasontweni alandela ukuphika kwakhe iNkosi kathathu? (Marku 14:72) Sonke sithambekele esonweni, futhi sidinga izikhumbuzo zokuthi uJehova ‘muhle futhi uhlale ekulungele ukuthethelela’ labo abaphenduka ngobuqotho.—IHu. 86:5.

20 UPetru waqonda ukuthi kwakufanele kuvalwe isikhala sikaJuda, umphostoli owayekhaphele uJesu. Kodwa sivalwe ubani? Umphostoli omusha kwakufanele kube umuntu owayekade elandela uJesu phakathi nayo yonke inkonzo yakhe futhi wambona esevusiwe. (IzE. 1:21, 22) Lokho kwakuvumelana nesithembiso sikaJesu: “Nina eniye nangilandela niyohlala ezihlalweni zobukhosi ezingu-12, nahlulele izizwe ezingu-12 zakwa-Israyeli.” (Math. 19:28) Kusobala ukuthi uJehova wayejonge ukuba abaphostoli abangu-12 ababelandele uJesu phakathi nenkonzo yakhe yasemhlabeni, babe ‘amatshe esisekelo angu-12’ eJerusalema Elisha. (IsAm. 21:2, 14) Ngakho uNkulunkulu wenza uPetru wabona ukuthi isiprofetho esithi “isikhundla saso sokuba umbonisi masithathwe omunye,” sisebenza kuJuda.—IHu. 109:8.

21 Kwakhethwa kanjani? Ngokwenza inkatho, umkhuba owawuvamile ngezikhathi zeBhayibheli. (IzAga 16:33) Nokho, kungokokugcina lapha eBhayibhelini kuboniswa ukusetshenziswa kwenkatho ngale ndlela. Ukuthululwa komoya ongcwele kamuva kwabonisa ukuthi lo mkhuba wawusuphelelwe isikhathi. Nokho, phawula ukuthi kungani kwakusetshenziswa inkatho. Abaphostoli bathandaza: “Wena Jehova, owazi izinhliziyo zabo bonke, bonisa ukuthi iyiphi kula madoda amabili oyikhethile.” (IzE. 1:23, 24) Babefuna kube uJehova okhethayo. Kwakhethwa uMathiya, cishe owayengomunye wabafundi abangu-70 uJesu ayebathume ukuba bayoshumayela. Ngakho uMathiya waba omunye ‘wabayiShumi Nambili.’ cIzE. 6:2.

22, 23. Kungani kufanele sizithobe futhi silalele abaholayo ebandleni namuhla?

22 Lesi senzakalo sisikhumbuza ukubaluleka kokuhleleka phakathi kwabantu bakaNkulunkulu. Kuze kube namuhla, kukhethwa amadoda afanelekayo ukuba akhonze njengababonisi ebandleni. Abadala bacabangela ngokucophelela izimfuneko ezingokomBhalo zababonisi, bathandazele nesiqondiso somoya ongcwele. Ngenxa yalokho, ibandla libheka amadoda anjalo njengamiswe umoya ongcwele. Thina siyawathobela futhi siwalalele, sikhuthaze umoya wokubambisana ebandleni.—Heb. 13:17.

Siyazithoba ekuholeni kwababonisi abamisiwe futhi sibalalele

23 Manje njengoba labo bafundi base beqiniswe ukubona uJesu evusiwe, nokubona ukulungiswa kwendlela ibandla elisebenza ngayo, base bekulungele ngokuphelele okwakubahlalele. Isahluko esilandelayo sizoxoxa ngaleso senzakalo esibalulekile.

a EVangelini lakhe, uLuka ubiza lo mlisa ngokuthi “Theyofilu ohlonipheke kakhulu,” okusikisela kwabanye ukuthi kungenzeka wayengumuntu ovelele owayengakabi ikholwa. (Luka 1:3) Lapha encwadini yezEnzo, uLuka umane ambize ngokuthi “Theyofilu.” Ezinye izazi zisikisela ukuthi uTheyofilu waba ikholwa ngemva kokufunda iVangeli likaLuka; ngakho zithi, uLuka akasisebenzisi isiqu sokumhlonipha kepha umbhalela njengomfowabo ongokomoya.

b Lapha, iBhayibheli lisebenzisa igama lesiGreki elithi troʹpos, elisho “indlela,” hhayi elithi mor·pheʹ, elisho “isimo.”

c Kamuva uPawulu wamiswa ukuba abe ‘umphostoli ezizweni,’ kodwa wayengekho neze phakathi kwabayiShumi Nambili. (Roma 11:13; 1 Kor. 15:4-8) Akazange alifanelekele lelo lungelo elikhethekile ngoba wayengazange amlandele uJesu phakathi nenkonzo yakhe yasemhlabeni.
