Kungani eyesi-2 Samuweli 21:7-9 ithi uDavide ‘waba nozwela ngoMefibhosheti’ kodwa wabe esenikela ngoMefibhosheti ukuba abulawe?
Abanye abaye bafunda le ndaba bekha phezulu baye bazibuza lo mbuzo. Kodwa kwakukhulunywa ngamadoda amabili ahlukile ayebizwa ngoMefibhosheti futhi singafunda okuthile ngokuhlola lokho okwenzeka.
Inkosi yakwa-Israyeli, uSawule, yayinamadodana ayisikhombisa namadodakazi amabili. Indodana kaSawule eyizibulo kwakunguJonathani. Kamuva inkosi yaba nendodana ebizwa ngokuthi uMefibhosheti, eyayizalwa uRizpa isancinza sikaSawule. Ngokuthakazelisayo, uJonathani naye wayenendodana ebizwa ngoMefibhosheti. Ngakho, iNkosi uSawule yayinendodana nomzukulu bobabili ababizwa ngoMefibhosheti.
Kunesikhathi lapho iNkosi uSawule yajikela khona abaseGibheyoni ababehlala nama-Israyeli futhi yazama ukubaqothula. Kubonakala sengathi abaningana babulawa. Kwakungafanele ngempela kwenzeke lokho. Kungani? Kungoba ngosuku lukaJoshuwa, izikhulu zakwa-Israyeli zenza isivumelwano sokuthula nabaseGibheyoni.—Josh. 9:3-27.
Leso sivumelwano sasisasebenza ngosuku lweNkosi uSawule. Inkosi yazama ukubaqothula abaseGibheyoni, okwakuyinto ephambene nesivumelwano. Leso senzo saholela ‘ecaleni legazi kuSawule nasendlini yakhe.’ (2 Sam. 21:1) Ekugcineni, uDavide waba inkosi. AbaseGibheyoni abasinda bakhuluma naye ngalesi senzo esibi kakhulu. UDavide wabuza ukuthi angahlawula ngani ukuze alungise isenzo esibi sikaSawule, okwakuyokwenza noJehova akwazi ukubusisa izwe. Kunokuba bacele imali, abaseGibheyoni bacela ukuba amadodana ayisikhombisa endoda ‘eyayicebe ukubabhuqa’ anikelwe kubo ukuze bawabulale. (Num. 35:30, 31) UDavide wasamukela isicelo sabo.—2 Sam. 21:2-6.
Ngaleso sikhathi, uSawule noJonathani base bebulewe empini, kodwa indodana kaJonathani, uMefibhosheti, yayisaphila. Lapho isencane yalimala, yayisiyakhubazeka futhi ayibanga nasandla ekuhlaseleni abaseGibheyoni okwenziwa umkhulu wayo. UDavide wayenze isivumelwano sobungane noJonathani, esasiyozuzisa nenzalo yakhe, okuhlanganisa uMefibhosheti indodana kaJonathani. (1 Sam. 18:1; 20:42) Le ndaba ithi: “Inkosi [uDavide] yaba nozwela ngoMefibhosheti indodana kaJonathani indodana kaSawule, ngenxa yesifungo . . . ababesenze phambi kukaJehova.”—2 Sam. 21:7.
Noma kunjalo, uDavide wakwenza lokho okwacelwa abaseGibheyoni. Wabanika amadodana kaSawule amabili, igama lenye yawo kwakunguMefibhosheti, nabazukulu bakaSawule abahlanu. (2 Sam. 21:8, 9) Indlela uDavide enza ngayo yalisusa icala legazi ezweni.
Lesi senzakalo singaphezu nje kokuba umlando. Umthetho kaNkulunkulu wawucacile. Wawuthi: “Abantwana akufanele babulawe ngenxa yezenzo zoyise.” (Dut. 24:16) UJehova wayengeke akuvumele lokho okwenzeka emadodaneni kaSawule amabili nakubazukulu bakhe abahlanu ukube babemsulwa. Lowo mthetho wanezela: “Umuntu kufanele abulawelwe isono sakhe kuphela.” Kubukeka sengathi amadodana nabazukulu bakaSawule ababulawa babebe nengxenye emizamweni yakhe yokuqothula abaseGibheyoni. Ngakho, laba abayisikhombisa bafela izenzo zabo.
Le ndaba ibonisa ukuthi umuntu ngeke enze okubi bese ezithethelela ngokucabanga ukuthi ubemane nje elandela iziqondiso noma athi ubelandela iziqondiso. Isaga esiwusizo sithi: “Hlelemba indlela yezinyawo zakho, zonke izindlela zakho ziyophepha.”—IzAga 4:24-27; Efe. 5:15.
