LAPHO ucabanga ngeNtaba yaseSinayi, cishe ukhumbula uMose. Ngani? Ngenxa yokuthi uMose wathola uMthetho kaNkulunkulu esentabeni eNhlonhlweni yeSinayi. Yiphi intaba? Cishe kulena eboniswe ngenhla. *

Engxenyeni eseningizimu yenhlonhlo, cishe maphakathi nemingenela yoLwandle Olubomvu, kunewa elineziqongo ezimbili. Indawo ekulo iyafanelana nokulandisa kweBhayibheli okuhilela uMose. Esinye isiqongo sibizwa ngokuthi iJebel Musa, okusho ukuthi “INtaba KaMose.”

Ukulandisa okuhlukahlukene kweBhayibheli kwenza lelogama lifaneleke ngempela. Uyakhumbula ukuthi uMose wayelusa umhlambi kaJetiro lapho ingelosi ibonakala esihlahleni esivutha umlilo? Kwakukuphi lapho? IBhayibheli lithi ‘kwakusentabeni kaNkulunkulu iHorebe,’ ebizwa nangokuthi iNtaba iSinayi. (Eksodusi 3:1-10; 1 AmaKhosi 19:8) Ngemva kokuba uMose ekhiphe abantu bakaNkulunkulu eGibithe, wabaletha lapha. U-Eksodusi 19:2, 3 uthi “uIsrayeli wahlala khona phambi kwentaba. Lokho kwakuwukugibela kokuqala kukaMose phezu kweNtaba yaseSinayi, futhi wenza okungaphezu nje kokukhuphuka ibangana entabeni. Siyafunda: “UJehova wehlela phezu kweNtaba yaseSinayi esiqongweni sentaba; uJehova wambiza uMose ukuba eze esiqongweni sentaba.”—Eksodusi 19:20.

Izinkulungwane zezivakashi zosuku lwanamuhla ziye zazabalaza kanzima zilandela umkhondo ebusuku zizama ukufinyelela esiqongweni, zahlala khona ukuze zibone ukuphuma kwelanga, zabe sezehla ngesikhathi sokudla kwasemini. Kwakungenjalo ngoMose. UNkulunkulu wathi kuye: “Khuphukela kimi entabeni, uhlale khona, ngikunike izibhebhe zamatshe, nomthetho.” Kulesosenzakalo “uMose wayesentabeni izinsuku ezingamashumi amane nobusuku obungamashumi amane.”—Eksodusi 24:12-18.

Ngakho kuyaqondakala ukuthi igama likaMose lihlangene nalentaba, kodwa kungani “umusa” uyingxenye yegama? Nokho, njengoba uMose ayephezulu lapho emukela uMthetho, abantu ababesesigodini ngezansi (mhlawumbe eSigodini sase-er-Raha esithombeni) bathatha inkambo yobuwula. Bacindezela umfowabo kaMose ukuba enze unkulunkulu. U-Aroni wathi: “Khumulani amacici egolide . . . niwalethe kimi.” Benza ngawo ithole legolide ukuze balikhulekele. Lokhu kwamthukuthelisa uNkulunkulu weqiniso futhi kwaholela ekufeni kwezinkulungwane. (Eksodusi 32:1-35) Kodwa u-Aroni waboniswa umusa futhi wasinda. Ngani?

Lokho uNkulunkulu akusho ku-Eksodusi 32:10 kusikisela ukuthi akambhekanga u-Aroni njengomgqugquzeli oyinhloko wenkambo embi ka-Israyeli. Lapho kufika elamanqamu, “onke amadodana kaLevi” akhetha uhlangothi lukaNkulunkulu, ngokungangabazeki ayehlanganisa no-Aroni. Kamuva, uMose wazwakalisa isifiso sokumazi kangcono uJehova nesokubona inkazimulo yaKhe. (Eksodusi 33:13, 18) Nakuba kwakungenakwenzeka ngoMose ukuba abone ubuso bukaNkulunkulu, uJehova wambonisa enye yenkazimulo yaKhe, egcizelela ukuthi ‘uyakuba nomusa kuyena [yena uNkulunkulu] athanda ukuba-nomusa kuye.’ (Eksodusi 33:17–34:7) Kwakufaneleka kakhulu ngoNkulunkulu ukuba agcizelele umusa wakhe, ngoba iBhayibheli lisebenzisa “umusa” kaningi ngokuphathelene nokusebenzelana kukaNkulunkulu no-Israyeli, lowo enza naye isivumelwano eSinayi.—IHubo 103:7-13, 18.

Ngokuphambene naleyomfundiso engamanga, iqiniso liwukuthi “uNkulunkulu” uMninimandla Onke “nguNkulunkulu ogcwele isihe, onomusa, ophuza ukuthukuthela, novamé ubumnene neqiniso.” (Eksodusi 34:6) UMose wasondela kuloNkulunkulu onomusa eNtabeni yaseSinayi.
