Njengoba umpristi wasendulo okuthiwa uMelkisedeki ayengumuntu ongokoqobo, kungani iBhayibheli lithi ‘wayengenaluzalo’?

Lenkulumo itholakala kumaHeberu 7:3. Phawula lelivesi emongweni walo:

“Ngokuba uMelkisedeki lo, inkosi yaseSalema, umpristi kaNkulunkulu oPhezukonke, owahlangabeza uAbrahama mhla ebuya ekubulaleni amakhosi, wambusisa; uAbrahama wamabela okweshumi kukho konke yena ogama lakhe lithi kuqala ukuhunyushwa kwalo inkosi yokulunga, besekuba-yinkosi yaseSalema, okungukuthi inkosi yokuthula, engenayise, engenanina, engenaluzalo, engenakuqala kwezinsuku nakuphela kokuphila, kepha efaniswé neNdodana kaNkulunkulu, uhlala engumpristi njalonjalo.”—Heberu 7:1-3.

Njengoba kuphawuliwe, uMelkisedeki wayengumuntu ongokoqobo, engokoqobo njengo-Abrahama, umuntu asebenzelana naye ngokuqondile. (Genesise 14:17-20; Heberu 7:4-10) Uma kunjalo, kumelwe ukuba uMelkisedeki wayenabazali, ubaba nomama, futhi kungenzeka ukuthi wayenabantwana. Ngakho, njengomuntu wayenalo uhlu lozalo. Futhi wafa. KweyamaHeberu, uPawulu wakhuluma ngoMelkisedeki lapho exoxa ngendima kaJesu Kristu njengomPristi Omkhulu kakhulu. Ebhekisela kuMelkisedeki njengowayefanekisela uJesu endimeni yakhe yobupristi, uPawulu wathi: ‘UJesu esewaba-ngumpristi omkhulu . . . ngokokuma kukaMelkisedeki.’ (Heberu 6:20) Ngamuphi umqondo?

Kumelwe ukuba uPawulu wayeqaphela ukuthi ukulandisa kweBhayibheli akunikezi mininingwane ngohlu lozalo lomkhaya kaMelkisedeki—okhokho bakhe noma iziphi izizukulwane okungenzeka zikhona. Lokho kwaziswa kumane nje akuyona indaba yokulandisa okungokweBhayibheli. Ngakho-ke, ngokwalokho uPawulu ayekwazi noma lokho esikwaziyo, kungashiwo ngokufanelekile ukuthi uMelkisedeki “wayengenalo uhlu lozalo” (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures; American Standard Version), “engenalo uhlu lwezizukulwane” (W. J. Conybeare), noma “wayengenaluzalo.”—J. B. Phillips.

Kungayiphi indlela uJesu ayenjalo? Kuyavunywa, siyazi ukuthi uYise kaJesu kwakunguJehova uNkulunkulu nokuthi unina ongumuntu kwakunguMariya wesizwe sakwaJuda. Nakuba kunjalo, kwakunokufana phakathi kukaMelkisedeki noJesu. Kanjani? UJesu akazalwanga esizweni sakwaLevi, isizwe sabapristi esizweni sakwa-Israyeli. Cha, uJesu akabanga umpristi ngohlu lozalo lwabantu. Akubanga njalo nangoMelkisedeki, ongazange abe umpristi “ngomthetho womyalo wenyama,” okungukuthi, ngokuzalelwa esizweni nasemkhayeni wabapristi. (Heberu 7:15, 16) Kunokuba abe umpristi ngoyise ongumuntu owayengumpristi ngokwakhe, uJesu ‘wabizwa nguNkulunkulu ngokuthi umpristi omkhulu ngokokuma kukaMelkisedeki.’—Heberu 5:10.

Ngaphezu kwalokho, uJesu akazange abe nezizukulwane noma ababezomlandela ebupristini bakhe. Nangalomqondo, wayengenalo uhlu lozalo. Uyoyifeza kuze kube phakade inkonzo yakhe yobupristi njengomfundisi owusizo. UPawulu wakhulumela lenkonzo yaphakade, ethi:

“[UJesu] ngenxa yokuba ehlala phakade, unobupristi obungenakuguquka; ngakho-ke unamandla okusindisa ngokupheleleyo abeza kuNkulunkulu ngaye, lokhu ephilela njalo ukubamela.”—Heberu 7:24, 25.

Ngakho-ke, ukucabangela kwethu amazwi kaPawulu akumaHeberu 7:3 kufanele kube ngaphezu nje kolwazi oluncane lokugcinwa emakhanda ethu. Kufanele kuqinise ukwazisa kwethu ngelungiselelo lothando uJehova uNkulunkulu asenzele lona lokuba sithethelelwe izono phakade nangendlela asilungiselele yona ukuba sithole usizo nesiqondiso phakade.
