Lesi senzakalo silandiswa uMathewu, uMarku noJohane emaVangelini. Kubonakala sengathi uJuda wahola ekukhonondeni, futhi abanye babaphostoli babe sebevumelana naye. Lesi senzakalo sibonisa ukuthi kungani singabonga ngokuba nakho kokune ukulandisa kwamaVangeli. Okwabhalwa umlobi ngamunye kunembile, kodwa akukhona konke okunikeza imininingwane efanayo. Ngokuqhathanisa ukulandisa okufanayo, sithola umbono ogcwele noningilizwe ngokwengeziwe wezenzakalo eziningi.

Ukulandisa okukuMathewu 26:6-13 kunikeza indawo—indlu kaSimoni onochoko, eBethaniya—kodwa akusiniki igama lowesifazane owathela amafutha anamakha ekhanda likaJesu. UMathewu uyaphawula: “Lapho bebona lokhu abafundi bathukuthela” futhi bakhononda ngokuthi lawo mafutha ngabe athengisiwe, imali yawo yanikwa abampofu.

Ukulandisa kukaMarku kuhlanganisa eminingi yaleyo mininingwane. Kodwa unezela nokuthi lona wesifazane wavula umfuma ngokuwuphula. Wawunamafutha anamakha ‘ayeyinadi loqobo,’ afana nalawo okungenzeka ayethengwa eNdiya. UJohane, owazibonela ngawakhe, wanezela imininingwane ephathelene nalokhu. Usho igama lalowo wesifazane—uMariya, udadewabo kaMarta noLazaru. Siyafunda: “UJuda Iskariyothe, omunye wabafundi bakhe, owayesezomkhaphela, wathi: ‘Kungani lamafutha anamakha engathengiswanga ngodenariyu abangamakhulu amathathu futhi baphiwa abantu abampofu?’”—Johane 12:2-8.

Yiqiniso, uJuda ‘wayengomunye wabafundi bakhe,’ kodwa ungayizwa intukuthelo kaJohane ngenxa yokuthi umuntu okulesi sikhundla wayehlela ukukhaphela uJesu. Ngokuphathelene noJohane 12:4, umhumushi uDkt. C. Howard Matheny wathi: “Isiqondiswano samanje esithi ‘ematasa’ [noma, “wayesezo”] nesiqondiswano esingayindawo esithi ‘ekhaphela’ [noma, “wayesezokhaphela”] kokubili kuveza isenzo esilungelelanayo noma esiqhubekayo.
