Ingabe u-Abela wayazi ukuthi kwakudingeka umhlatshelo wesilwane ukuze athole umusa kaNkulunkulu?

Ukulandisa kweBhayibheli ngoKayini no-Abela benza iminikelo kufushane kakhulu. KuGenesise 4:3-5, siyafunda: “Kwathi emva kwezinsuku ezithile uKayini waletha kuJehova umnikelo wezithelo zomhlabathi. Naye u-Abela waletha umnikelo kuwo amazibulo ezimvu zakhe ezinonileyo. UJehova wanaka u-Abela nomnikelo wakhe. Kepha uKayini nomnikelo wakhe akawunakanga.”

IBhayibheli alisho ukuthi ngaphambi kwalesi senzakalo uJehova wayeke wanikeza ukwaziswa okuqondile mayelana nemihlatshelo noma uhlobo lwemihlatshelo eyamukelekayo kuye. Ngakho, kubonakala sengathi uKayini no-Abela bazenzela ngokuzithandela iminikelo yabo. Babenqatshelwe ukungena ekhaya labazali babo lokuqala eliyiPharadesi; baqala ukuzwa imiphumela yesono; futhi babehlukanisiwe noNkulunkulu. Kwahlaluka ukuthi umnikelo ka-Abela uyamukeleka kuNkulunkulu, kodwa okaKayini awamukeleki. Ngani? Ingabe kwakungoba u-Abela enikele izinto okuyizonazona, ngokungafani noKayini? Asinakuqiniseka ukuthi uhlobo lomnikelo lwalungabalulekile, njengoba engekho kubo owayetsheliwe ukuthi yini eyamukelekayo nengamukeleki. Nokho, kungenzeka ukuthi zombili izinhlobo zazamukeleka. EMthethweni uJehova agcina ewunike isizwe sakwa-Israyeli, imihlatshelo eyamukelekayo yayingahlanganisi izilwane noma izitho zezilwane kuphela, kodwa yayihlanganisa nokusanhlamvu okugazingiwe, izithungu zebhali, impuphu ecolekile, izinto ezibhakiwe newayini. (Levitikusi 6:19-23; 7:11-13; 23:10-13) Kubonakala sengathi kwakungeyona imihlatshelo kaKayini no-Abela ngokwayo eyenza uNkulunkulu wamukela omunye kodwa wangawamukela omunye.—Qhathanisa no-Isaya 1:11; Amose 5:22.

Ngemva kwamakhulu eminyaka, umphostoli uPawulu wathi: “Ngokholo u-Abela wanikela kuNkulunkulu umhlatshelo onokubaluleka okukhulu kunokaKayini, okuwukholo okwathi ngalo wafakazelwa ukuthi wayelungile, uNkulunkulu efakaza ngokuqondene nezipho zakhe.” (Heberu 11:4) Ngakho, kwakuwukholo olwenza u-Abela wabhekwa nguNkulunkulu njengolungile. Kodwa ukholo kuphi? Ukholo esithembisweni sikaJehova sokuthi wayeyonikeza iNzalo ‘eyayiyochoboza ikhanda lenyoka,’ ibuyisele isintu ekuthuleni nasekupheleleni esasinako. Ngenxa yamazwi athi iNzalo ‘yayiyolinyazwa esithendeni,’ kungenzeka u-Abela wacabanga ukuthi kwakudingeka umhlatshelo ohilela ukuchithwa kwegazi. (Genesise 3:15) Noma ngabe yikuphi, iqiniso liwukuthi ukubonakalisa kuka-Abela ukholo yikhona okwenza ‘umhlatshelo wakhe wabaluleka kunokaKayini.’

Ngokufanayo, uKayini akalahlwanga ngenxa yokunikela ngomhlatshelo wohlobo olungafanele, kodwa ngenxa yokuntula ukholo, njengoba kwaboniswa yizenzo zakhe. UJehova wayesho ngokucacile kuKayini: “Angithi uma wenza kahle, uyamukeleka na?” (Genesise 4:7) UNkulunkulu akamlahlanga uKayini ngenxa yokungawujabuleli umnikelo wakhe. Kunalokho, walahlwa “ngenxa yokuthi imisebenzi yakhe siqu yayimibi”—okwaboniswa umona, inzondo nokubulala ekugcineni.—1 Johane 3:12.
